Standards Based Grading: Grades 1 & 2
Students are assessed three times a year in both first and second grade; we follow a trimester schedule. At the end of each trimester, your child's report card can be found online via OnCourse. The students are scored using a 1-4 system.
1 = Not Meeting the Standard
2 = Approaching the Standard
3 = Meets the Standard
4 = Exceeds the Standard
Our goal is for each child to reach a "3" in ALL areas by the time the school year has ended. Please be sure to read through the scales for each subject area to understand how your child can achieve a "3" for each standard.
